Revenge of the Fallen novelization

After William Lennox's team bailed out of their cargo plane over Egypt, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Morshower wanted to know what was going on over there. His satellite surveillance told him that all was well, but the communication black out made him suspicious. He contacted the Jordanians and General Fassad of Egypt for assistance. He wanted General Fassad to clear reconnaissance overflights.

Once images of the battle of Aqaba came back to Morshower he set off to get as much military support as he could to the area in support of Lennox's team. He once again asked for General Fassad's assistance in sending his armor south. Revenge of the Fallen (novel)

• General Fassad does not appear in the novel, but Morshower orders his subordinates to contact him.
• We think General Fassad is from Egypt, but the novel is a little unclear on this point.
