This article is about the Cyberverse Decepticon. For the Generation 1 Decepticon, see Acid Storm (G1).
Acid Storm is a Decepticon Seeker from the Cyberverse continuity family.
Her purple rain is not the kind you like to hear.

Using her ability to manipulate weather to create toxic rains, Acid Storm spends her time chasing Autobots across the world with her Seeker compadres.

Fiction

Cyberverse cartoon

Voice actor: Jaime Lamchick (English), Tiziana Martello (Italian)

Acid Storm was joined by Thrust in an attempt to recover the scout ship that Windblade and Bumblebee had stolen. Windblade was able to take off before they could infiltrate the ship, and a dogfight ensued, with the two Seekers being joined by their commander Slipstream. Acid Storm's assistance in the fight was short-lived, however, as her and Thrust were taken out of the fight when Windblade discovered the ship's armament array, a brace of missiles sending the two subordinate Seekers spiraling down to Earth. Lives up to the title of "the green one".
  • Acid Storm (Warrior Class, 2018)
    • Action Attack: "Toxic Slice"
Cyberverse Warrior Class Acid Storm is a redeco of Warrior Class Starscream and converts from robot to jet and back. Her Action Attack gimmick is activated by winding up a spring in her waist and releasing the upper part of the figure, allowing it to spin and flip out its spring-loaded wing blades with centrifugal force. The waist can be locked in place by pegging her landing gear onto a peg on her backside. Additionally, she has non-firing Null Ray blasters molded into her forearms with 5 mm post hole hands.
While her arms have articulation comparable to other Cyberverse Warrior Class toys, Acid Storm has the unusual distinction of having her hip swivels molded together, meaning the front-to-back movement is in tandem. She also lacks knees, likely due to her whole legs being cast from the same green plastic. Despite this otherwise restricted movement, she can splay her legs out to the sides due to hinges on her hips, allowing splits and high kicks.
This mold was also redecoed into Thundercracker.

Notes

"The artist didn't catch my good side."
  • Acid Storm's bio on the English Hasbro website uses male pronouns, plus the character illustration (right) uses a considerably different color scheme than the cartoon model attributed to Acid Storm. In this show, she speaks with a female voice and voice actress, but is animated with the male Seeker face until her appearance in "Siloed;" she is rendered with the male face again starting with "Awaken Sleeping Giants." Meanwhile, the backside of Acid Storm's toy packaging uses the masculine forms of "Seeker" in French, Portuguese, and Spanish.[1] By contrast, the Brazilian Portuguese Hasbro site refers to Acid Storm's toy in the feminine,[1] but the French Canadian site uses the masculine.[2] In the cartoon itself, Acid Storm's body has similarly vacillated back and forth between the "male" and "female" versions of the Seeker model in apparent animation oversights; by contrast, writer Mae Catt stated the difference was "just something Acid Storm likes to do." Which was probably just a joke about the animation errors. [2]
