Continuity Shattered Glass

Batbot looks for vengeance on the positive-universe Earth.

Synopsis

Vigilante Batbot confronts the positive-universe Frenzy and Rumble, demanding to know where their Ratbat is so that he might be brought to justice. Unfortunately, the two tell him that's not possible, since Scorponok killed him. Scorponok is dead as well, and Batbot demands to know if Ratbat left any unfinished business. Frenzy directs the vigilante to his old quarters, only for Batbot to find that the "unfinished buisness" is leftover paperwork.

Notes

Continuity notes

  • Frenzy was last seen in "Games of Deception" among Megatron's Earthbound Decepticons, while Rumble was last seen being recovered from the Ark in issue #41 of the Transformers comic.
  • Ratbat was shot in the back by Scorponok in issue #50. Scorponok was melted by Unicron in issue #75.
  • Ratbat's office includes a certificate from the Portland Chamber of Commerce and a newspaper from the Portland Express. Portland was the Earthbound setting for most of the early run of the Transformers comic. Of note, Ratbat's portrait includes the odd head-crest artists would draw him with, a misinterpretation of the fin on his head and back.

Transformers references

  • Rumble and Frenzy have been upgraded to their United toy bodies. Rumble's black parts are slightly blue-ish, replicating the limited Marvel US comic's color palette.
