Ore-10 is a crystalline energon derivative, capable of literally "fuelling deception" by reprogramming the minds of Cybertronians.

Ore-10 was created by the Decepticon scientist Shockwave as part of his Regenesis project. Shockwaves
While most of the Regenesis ores were seeded on Cybertronian colonies or planets otherwise associated with the Thirteen, Ore-10 was associated with Carcer, the Titan who served as a mobile prison for the disgraced member of the Thirteen known as the Liege Maximo. Ceremony
Eons later — in the guise of "Onyx Prime" — Shockwave used the ore in conjunction with supplies of Ore-1 and Ore-9 to reprogram the Titan Metrotitan, sending him through time and space to perpetuate the lie that Starscream was the "Chosen One." The Hallowing
Notes
- Unicron #6 provided a chart that explicitly associated Ore-10, the ore of Deception, with the Liege Maximo, the Prime of Deception, and his Titan, Vigilem. However, Vigilem was not based on a colony world, but functioned as a starship constantly moving through space. It seems implausible then that Shockwave could have (1) targeted Carcer with a Regenesis ore missile, (2) that an Ore could take root on a Titan, and (3) that Elita One or her predecessor would not have noticed being hit by the Regenesis missile or Onyx Prime arriving to collect the Ore from her ship. Perhaps an actual colony world associated with Liege Maximo exists, which Carcer abandoned, that was home to the Deception Ore. Or perhaps Shockwave really did accomplish the convoluted and unlikely sequence of events suggested above. Shockwave is the original "Wizard who did it", after all.
