Notes

  • Red Wing wasn't actually meant to be red! The BotCon 2013 comic was originally intended to feature both a BotCon-exclusive orange Seeker toy named Hotlink, and a new e-HOBBY-exclusive toy of Sunstorm. When the e-HOBBY Sunstorm was cancelled, BotCon's orange Seeker became Sunstorm himself (with the Hotlink name reassigned to the purple BotCon Seeker), but the second orange Seeker was retained in the comic as a nod to the earlier plan. However, in the final printed comic, that Seeker came out looking more red than orange, and so was Red Wing born.[1]
  • A couple of weeks after the convention, following much pestering online and offline from one fan, Fun Publications named the character via Twitter. Pete Sinclair wasn't even aware (or at least feigned ignorance) of his existence in "Termination" due to his extremely minor role and the number of other Seekers present within the story.
  • Red Wing subsequently received his first bit of characterization when he was given a short bio by the Transformers Legends game.
  • Kre-O Red Wing is made from existing Kre-O parts, like all non-toy robot Kreons in these comics. As per usual, he uses the Seeker Kreon parts consisting of the Starscream helmet, jet wings, and Seeker arm rifles.
