The Headmasters cartoon

Voice actor: Masaaki Ōkura (Japanese)

As part of Scorponok's plot to lure the Autobot Headmasters to a trap on Praum, Mindwipe hypnotized the operator there into sending a distress signal to the Autobot base on Athenia. He was subsequently killed, along with all of the Autobot personnel on Praum. Another operator at infantry unit P-21's base on Earth was also hypnotized by Mindwipe to lie about the presence of a new energy source at the base, to send Rodimus Prime on a fool's errand.

The Decepticons' hand in the plot was not noticed by the Athenia Autobots till Rodimus Prime, having visited the devastated P-21 base, pointed out Mindwipe's shadow hovering over the operator in a replay of the video message from P-21. The Four-Million-Year-Old Veil of Mystery
