A fuel intake moderation chip is part of a Transformer's anatomy from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

When imbibing various kinds of intoxicating fuel, a Transformer can elect to disengage their fuel intake moderation chip in order to experience the associated effects, which can range from slurring one's words to passing out dead drunk.
