- Aquabat is an Autobot Hydrobot from the 2005 IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Aquabat transforms into both a hovercraft and a "weird, winged creature", one of two Hydrobots with these alternate modes.
Fiction
2005 IDW continuity
Groove attempted to impress Riptide at Swerve's Lost Light "crewditions" by mentioning that he knew one of his fellow Hydrobots but couldn't remember his name. His description of an athletic stunt-loving Triple Changer who could become a winged animal led Riptide to assume he was talking about Aquabat, but Groove specified he meant the other athletic stunt-loving Hydrobot Triple Changer who could become a winged animal. When Getaway launched a mutiny against Rodimus and his inner circle, Aquabat, like most shipmates, chose to side with Getaway; after doing away with Team Rodimus, Aquabat was part of the security crew who met the Protectobots as they returned to the ship from Cybertron. Full Circle
When the Protectobots escaped Getaway's depredations and went on a rampage as Defensor, Aquabat joined the fight and ineffectually fired on Defensor as the combiner made for the shuttle bay. Journey's End
