"Days of Deception" is a pseudo-event branding used by IDW Publishing's Generation 1 titles The Transformers (formerly Robots in Disguise) and More than Meets the Eye, beginning in late 2014 after the end of the previous "Dawn of the Autobots" branding. It covers the "Onyx Interface" story in The Transformers and "Elegant Chaos" story in More than Meets the Eye. Whilst the stories of the two books do not directly intertwine, both see "a secret from the past [come] crashing into the present to mess with our heroes' lives."[1]

The Transformers sets the stage for the "Combiner Wars" event, as Optimus Prime and his forces begin a search for the lost Enigma of Combination... a quest that's jeopardized by Prowl's increasingly erratic behavior. Meanwhile, More than Meets the Eye sends the crew of the Lost Light on a time-hopping quest through Cybertron's past to save the life of their captain Megatron and prevent a frightening alternate timeline from coming to pass.

"Days of Deception" was followed by the "Combiner Wars" crossover storyline in The Transformers vol. 2 and the second Windblade series.
