Camouflage paint is a miraculous substance that can make one Transformer look like another, even if the two Transformers have completely different robot modes. The two Transformers may need to have the same alternate mode for the paint to work.
Fiction
The Transformers cartoon
The Stunticons, who were on a mission to steal components for Megatron's latest invention, were captured by the Autobots. The Autobots used camouflage paint to disguise themselves as the Stunticons—Optimus Prime as Motormaster, Mirage as Drag Strip, Jazz as Dead End, Sideswipe as Breakdown, and Windcharger as Wildrider. So disguised, the Autobots were able to infiltrate the Decepticon ranks and find out what Megatron was up to. They were even able to fake a combination into Menasor using Windcharger's magnetic abilities and a holographic head provided by Mirage, however the jig was eventually up, and the Autobots discarded the paint.
