When Whirl is given a task, she insists on doing it alone, discovering the hard way that there's no "I" in team.
Synopsis
Heatwave plays the start of the new recruiting video they've been working on. The five recruits are impressed and Whirl is keen to see the rest of the movie, but Heatwave reveals they'll be recording it today. He suddenly gets a call from Optimus Prime, who needs his help on a mission, so Whirl volunteers to finish recording in his place. The other recruits are eager to help, and Whirl suggest they "act natural". Medix eventually opts to go to the lab to sort supplies, while the others head to Hero Hall to find something more exciting to film. Whirl has Wedge give a rundown on the room's function, however when he's startled by Tough Luck Chuck, Hoist mistakes his flailing for a signal, and unleashes an unexpected tidal wave. Next Whirl and Hoist head to the GroundBridge where Hoist puts on Optimus and Heatwave hand puppets to explain the portal's function, however he's cut short when he accidentally falls through the bridge to Outer Mongolia. Whirl goes on to film Hot Shot displaying some rescue moves, which almost results in the camera getting trashed, leading Medix to volunteer his services for something more sedate—three hours of medical minutia.
Whirl later reviews the footage she's shot and realizes it's unusable, but when the other recruits turn up to check up on her progress, she insists they can't watch anything as it's unfinished. Heatwave arrives to announce he's invited Optimus to come and view the movie. While the others go to clean up the base, Whirl frets over how to complete the movie. The rescue alarm sounds, and she sees the chance to get more usable footage. The recruits head to the Griffin Rock cake factory where the machinery is running rampant, trapping Mr. Feiffer and his bakers. Whirl commences filming. The rescue is hampered by the machinery flinging various pies and cakes at them, as well as sucking Wedge in and covering him with food. Whirl eventually manages to shut the machine down.
Back at base, Whirl admits to the others that all of the footage she's recorded thus far is horrible and heads off to admit to Heatwave that she failed to produce a workable recruitment video. Optimus tells her that it's OK to ask for help, and the others burst in, having edited Whirl's footage together. Heatwave and Optimus are amused by the results, and the recruits head off to finish the movie.

Quotes
"But making a movie out of this is impossible! Wait, 'impossible' is really just 'I'm possible' without the space! You can do this!"
- —Whirl
"I've determined that this rescue is not, in fact, a piece of cake."
- —Medix
Notes
Continuity notes
- Optimus Prime laughed. For real. This is the first time he’s done so in Aligned TV shows.
- He's also got another statue, this time in the Academy.
- In "The More Things Stay the Same", the center was shown to have a roving automated cleaning bot. Perhaps they determined it was energy-inefficient, considering the free labor on hand. This might also explain why the main hall with the GroundBridge is so under-lit compared to its original appearance.
- Hot Shot's sonic blasters now fire white energy pulses.
Transformers references
- When Hot Shot falls into the jam vat, he makes a joking nod to JaAm, an old joke from the fandom centered on his Unicron Trilogy counterpart.
Animation and technical errors

Trivia
- In place of Hiro Diaz, who portrayed him in the series premiere, Optimus is voiced by Jake Tillman, who plays his Cyberverse counterpart.
