- Detour is a Decepticon Micromaster from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Detour is the voice of reason in the Sports Car Patrol. He's not a coward, he's just terribly vain and doesn't want to see himself damaged. When he starts saying the odds are too stacked against the patrol, Blackjack respects this.<ref>More Than Meets The Eye #2</ref>

After studying the captive Autobot Battle Patrol, Thunderwing and his scientists managed to replicate Emirate Xaaron's Micromaster process and create a new era of Decepticon Micromasters, including Detour and his cohorts. A Small War!
After Megatron began rebuilding his power base on Cybertron, Detour and the Sports Car Patrol were some of his first recruits. Using the trans-time dimensional portal, Detour participated in the infiltration of the Ark, joining his fellow Micromasters in tricking the ship's medic, Ratchet, into believing they were Autobots on their way back to Cybertron. They were able to fool Ratchet long enough to take him prisoner at Megatron's base on Cybertron. Back from the Dead! When Ratchet eventually outsmarted Megatron and reactivated his buddies (Jazz, Grimlock, and Bumblebee), Detour and the other henchmen had a running battle with the Autobots which took them outside the base and, luckily, out of range of the massive explosion which leveled the entire complex. The Sports Car Patrol presumably survived, but were never seen again. Skin Deep

Detour was one of the many Micromasters created by the Autobots and Decepticons in a joint venture after the launch of the Ark. He could first be seen in a secret nightclub in Little Iacon, where he and Slow Poke threw globs of green slimey stuff at a poster showing Megatron and Optimus Prime. He then witnessed a race between Big Daddy and Roadhandler. The Gray Race Right after the end of the race, the Micromasters - among them Detour - were attacked by the Insecticons and subsequently caught prisoners. Recipe for Hate Like his fellow Micromasters, Detour was freed by Countdown, Groundshaker and the Hot Rod Patrol and partook in the march of the Micromasters to end a battle between the Autobots and Decepticons. He was one of the Micromasters carrying the severed head of Shockwave. Victims of the Revolution

Detour and the Sports Car Patrol are highly advanced warriors apparently in the service of the Dead Universe. They ran afoul of Nightbeat on Gorlam Prime while protecting the "hole in the world". Detour and his compatriots captured the inquisitive Autobot and subjected him to an unknown procedure before letting him go. Spotlight: Nightbeat
