Karkinoid beetles are alien beasts from the Rescue Bots Academy portion of the Aligned continuity family.
The wings raise the disturbing possibility that it can also fly.

Karkinoid beetles are giant insectoid creatures which, if Hot Shot is correct, weigh around 20 tons. They are sensitive to sound which is a useful fact if you have a Virtual Sonic Fence.

Rescue Bots Academy cartoon

A karkinoid beetle on the plant Herbu was threatening the safety of a settlement of Herbuvians, prompting a mission there by the Rescue Bot recruits. Hoist initially realized that he had forgotten the code to activate the Virtual Sonic Fence, forcing his team mates to attempt to slow the massive beetle, mostly unsuccessfully. They eventually got the device to work, and when the beetle broke the barrier, it was sent fleeing from the loud noises that resulted. The recruits did note that the beetle appeared to have picked up the music code used to unlock the fence. Tune Out
