Marvel Productions Ltd. was a television and motion picture studio based in Hollywood, California. Originally an animation studio, the studio produced such notable cartoons as The Transformers, G.I. Joe, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, The Incredible Hulk, Muppet Babies and Defenders of the Earth.

The studio also produced animated TV specials and movies, such as The Transformers: The Movie and G.I. Joe: The Movie.

Jim Shooter has claimed Marvel Productions disliked Marvel Comics (and vice versa), in particular David DePatie, Head of Development; "they thought of us as amateurish morons". This relationship improved when Margaret Loesch took over.[1]
