- Ultra Magnus is an Autobot in the Transformers Animated continuity family.
Ultra Magnus is Optimus Prime's superior officer who apparently isn't very nice to him. He is also the Supreme Commander of the Autobots and the leader of the Cybertron Elite Guard. His earth alt-mode is a multi-wheeled missle platform.
Strangely, he can deal with that.

Though nearly denied by Sentinel Prime, Optimus Prime gets patched through to Ultra Magnus to report on the discovery of the All Spark. Magnus still doesn't believe the Decepticons will pose much of a threat, but agrees to dispatch some ships to escort the Ark. He warns Prime not to pull any heroics, as it's not in his programming.
This of course all goes out the window once it's discovered that the Decepticons in pursuit are in Megatron's flagship, at which point he decides to deal with it. Transform and Roll Out!
Toys
Surprisingly, his toy will not be an Optimus Prime redeco, and there was much rejoicing (yay...).
