The Achilles virus is a virus created by Shockwave that robs an affected Transformer of the ability to perceive Megatron's weaknesses.

Not trusting Overlord, Megatron had Shockwave infect him with the Achilles virus during the process that turned him nigh-invincible. Remembrance Day When Overlord desired to move against Megatron for daring to constrain him into being just a Phase Sixer, he realized that, despite his skills in strategy and tactics, he was incapable of recognizing Megatron's weaknesses and exploiting them. As such, he invaded Garrus-9 and, after maintaining control of the prison, released Shockwave so that he could cure Overlord of the Achilles virus.
