- The Battle Dog is an animal from the Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers manga portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Although Megatron is not known for his stunning success record, he did achieve a great military victory when he ordered his Decepticons to murder a puppy. The "Battle Dog" was endowed with great power by advanced Decepticon technology and all.

At some point abducted by the Decepticons, the dog that would become their weapon was reconstructed into the "Battle Dog" so that it could be copied and the copies sent amongst human civilization to destroy it with the power contained within them. The puppy subsequently escaped Decepticon headquarters.

Notes
- This is not the only instance of "dog murdered by Decepticons" in the Japanese Generation 1 fiction: in Super-God Masterforce, the puppy Pis bought it too.
- The Battle Dog, Pis, and Patch would appear on lost dog posters in Transformers Animated: The AllSpark Almanac II. All things considered, it seems unlikely any of them will be returned to their owners.
