- Labrat is a Maximal from the Beast Wars: Uprising portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Labrat is, as his name suggests, usually found inside a lab, methodically performing his latest experiment. Unlike some 'bots, he doesn't focus on science out of any actual joy or because of any big ideas. It's just his job, nothing more. Labrat's not one of nature's original thinkers, but that doesn't stop him from having a highly inflated opinion of himself, and a mercurial nature. He'll even work for Predacons if the price is right, and if it's even better, he'll likely sell them out too.[1]

- Accessories: Tail-whip
- The Deluxe Transmetal Rattrap toy was given a white and orange deco and packed in with a 500-piece Beast Wars Metals jigsaw puzzle from Central Hobby.
- Oddly, this toy uses the Hasbro "RATTRAP" tampograph on the rat mode back rather than the Takara "CYBERTRON" and symbol mark. This is likely due to the fact it was released long before Metals was released in Japan.
- This toy was also repurposed as the Shattered Glass incarnation of Rattrap.
