Optimus is barely a fly to him and is swatted like such. Optimus Primal gets his ultimate upgrade and is joined by a new-yet-familiar ally: Tigerhawk! Together, they intend to finish Megatron and the Beast Wars once and for all.
Synopsis
Megatron proclaims victory over a horrified Optimus Primal!
Tigatron is dismayed to find that his beloved Airazor appears to be under some sort of mind control!
Rhinox and Rattrap use their Transmetal vehicle modes to race to the Ark to give Primal backup!
As it turns out, having merged with the original Megatron's spark has also given Beast Megatron the Decepticon's massive size. Optimus is barely a fly to him and is swatted like such. Megatron and Primal see the loose spark of Optimus Prime floating around and both try to reach it in time, but Megatron appears to stomp on it. But he hasn't! Cheetor has made it to the party at long last and saves the spark in the nick of time. Primal gets the spark from Cheetor and in order to keep it safe... he eats it.
Meanwhile, not wanting to hurt his beloved again, Tigatron offers Airazor his sword and bends down to let her decapitate him. The possessed Airazor does so, but as soon as she strikes, Airazor's consciousness travels out of her tainted body and travels through the sword, entering Tigatron. Their sparks unite and they vow never to be parted again. In the real world, the blow shatters Tigatron's body like glass and a new being emerges: Tigerhawk!
At the Ark, Primal grows to a size to match Megatron, now also boasting a new body. They fight and Primal headbutts Megatron's head into scrap, but that doesn't stop the Predacon, who rips off Primal's right arm.
Elsewhere, Tigerhawk uses his elemental powers (channeled through his four katana) to destroy the zombie Predacon troopers with tornadoes and earthquakes.
At the Ark, both leaders have torn each other apart so badly their sparks are exposed. Megatron tears Primal's remaining arm off and then lunges for his spark. But Primal's in gorilla mode and his feet are prehensile! He dodges and plucks Megatron's spark out with his toes. He then crushes it like a beer can in front of the horrified Predacon, who promptly explodes and dies.
Tigerhawk then arrives with the rest of the lost Maximals (including numerous generics). Blackarachnia and Silverbolt hook up for some unknown reason. Rhinox meets up with Primal and asks what they'll do now and Primal stares ominously into space, remarking that rebuilding Optimus Prime and restoring the timestream won't be easy.

Notes
- So what DO the Maximals do now!? They've effed up the timestream just as badly as Megatron was going to do, what with Generation 1 Megatron's spark now being obliterated and Optimus Prime's spark evidently still fused with Primal's.
- The Metals manga was a bit shorter than the previous II and Neo series and these last two chapters, with their rushed conclusion, would seem to indicate the truncated length was a mid-series editorial mandate.
- The way these zombies work is inconsistent. Most of them, including Airazor, are presented as mindless monsters. And yet Tigatron keeps his faculties for some reason.
- Cheetor and Silverbolt were last seen stranded on Earth in issue 1 and hadn't been seen or mentioned till this issue.
- So, uh, Waspinator sorta just disappears...
