Grid Omega is a Maximal designation for an area on Earth during the Beast Wars. It is a rather inhospitable area, containing an impressive river of molten lava.

When Megatron created a clone of Dinobot, the creature was sent into the Maximal base, where it masqueraded as the real thing. After claiming to have observed the Predacons preparing to mount an assault from Grid Omega, the clone and Rattrap were sent there to gather more information. As Rattrap attempted to cross a fallen tree that formed a bridge high above the river of lava, the clone struck, knocking the tree out from under the Maximal in order to send him plunging to his doom.
