Fool's Fortune

The Fool's Fortune is the ship of Doubledealer's band of Mercenaries.

Hired by the Quintesson Deseeus, Doubledealer and his crew used the Fools Fortune to reach The Ark, adrift in space.}Earthrise episode 1 After having taken control of The Arks bridge, Doubledealer had his crewmates Thurst and Dirge pilot the Fortune to Charr, and rendezvous with them there. They did, with the Fortune being left outside as the Mercenaries took their captives to Deseeus. Earthrise episode 2

The Fools Fortune, now controlled by Deseeus, via their mind control over Doubledealer, pursued the Autobots out of the Dead Universe, arriving above Earth, facing both The Ark and The Nemesis, the Decepticon flagship. The Fortune attacked both factions, and endured damage as a result. During the battle, Exhaust and Bug Bite went to patch up its holes, but were both killed by the stowaway Autobot Cog, who eventually took control of the bridge as Deseeus fled. The Fortune, under heavy fire, overloaded and exploded, the energy expelled from its destruction causing The Ark to crash down to Earth. Some remaining peices of The Fortune rained down to the planet's surface as meteors. Earthrise episode 6

Notes

• The Fool's Fortune was first mentioned as one of five types of "hidden" labeled paths on the Earthrise toyline's collectible space map. The key to read those path labels is shown on the map fragment packaged with the Titan Class Scorponok figure. The other types of paths labeled in the legend are "Space bridge", "Ark", "Nemesis", and "Quintesson". The nature of the Fool's Fortune was not clear until it appeared in the War for Cybertron Trilogy cartoon.
• The Fool's Fortune route appears to travel to, through, or near many locations, including the Dead Universe, Chaar, Caminus, and Biosphera. In some places, it is parallel to the routes for the Ark and Nemesis.
