Black Megatron is a Transformer from the Generations Selects Special Comic portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Created by Gold Megatron as part of his New Primus Vanguard, Black Megatron (ブラック破壊大帝 (メガトロン) Burakku Megatoron, lit. "Emperor of Destruction Black") seeks to usurp Black Go Prime's position as representative of the Black Light.

Fiction

Generations Selects Special Comic

Upon absorbing the Golden Age Starscream's Golden Power and attaining a new form, Gold Megatron used the Silver Matrix filled with all seven types of Star Power to create seven new Megatrons to serve him, including Black Megatron. In the following battle royale, Black Megatron and Red Megatron attacked the Transformers on the Blue Planet's surface, but were repelled by Scramble 7. Finale Part 2

Animated

  • Shadow Blade Megatron (Leader, 2008)
Shadow Blade Megatron was repurposed as Black Megatron.
A black, grey and purple redeco of Megatron's leader class mold with a slight remolding to the tail... that's NOT called Galvatron. YeabuhWHA?
Surprisingly for a Hasbro produced redeco, Shadow Blade Megatron is cast entirely in black plastic with the exception of his translucent parts. His nose is not painted, so whenever his lights light up...his nose glows red.
Many units of this figure have a slight molding problem that prevents him from actually moving his face when the Decepticon insignia is pressed. However, as many units are also unaffected, this may have been an inconsistent problem or corrected by a running change.

Notes

  • "Black Megatron" is technically never said, but c'mon.
