| The name or term "Flak" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Flak (disambiguation). |
- Flak is an Autobot from the live-action film series continuity family (via the 2010 Transformers toyline).
The other Autobots may not put much trust in Flak's rather... unconventional battle tactics, but he knows they'll work. Now if only he could find some use for them on the field...
Toys
Transformers (2010)
- The Ravage Infiltration (Multi-pack, 2010)
- A redeco of Scattorshot, "Autobot Flak" transforms into an anti-aircraft vehicle resembling a pick-up truck retrofitted for heavy combat, with armament such as roof-mounted cannons, armor plating and a treaded plow. In robot mode, the dual cannons become hand-held rifles.
- He comes in a multi-pack with Rollbar (a redeco of Dune Runner) and a redeco of Legends Class Ravage. Also included are three mini-figures of human soldiers. This pack has only been released as an exclusive in Sainsbury's in the UK.
- This mold was also used to make Firetrap in the same toyline.
Dark of the Moon
- Flak (Cyberverse Legion Class, 2011)
- Series: 1
- Number: 012
- TakaraTomy ID number: CV23
- Part of the third wave of Dark of the Moon Cyberverse toys, Flak is a roughly Legends-scale figure that transforms into a green APC, similar to a BRDM-2, with camouflage patterns and a long cannon. His cannon has a swivel, allowing it to aim up and down. The turret base the cannon is on also rotates, but not at the center, so that the cannon can be mounted over his right shoulder. He also features ball-jointed shoulders and thighs, and his elbows can bend due to the transformation-related swivels they're on, although his long elbow kibble prevents the arms from straightening out further than slightly more than 90 degrees. Finally, his right hand has a 3mm grip which allows him to interact with various Cyberverse play-sets and accessories.
- Hasbro's early stock photography of the toy (depicted on its packaging) is slightly different from the final product in that the cannon was originally painted silver, compared to the final version's unpainted green.
- His facial sculpt is strikingly similar to the face sculpt of Roller from the same line, which is also strikingly similar to the faces of the generic Autobot corpses inside the Ark in the Dark of the Moon film. Whether or not the two are deliberately based on these robots is unknown.
