Synopsis

Wheeljack and Mainframe work together to give a large technical explanation, and then they explain it with a simple analogy. With Cobra's location no longer a secret and the captive Transformers freed by some hacking, G.I. Joe plans their next move.

At Cobra Island, the Decepticons terrorize their former captors. As protection from Optimus Prime, the Commander frees Megatron. Major Bludd attempts to escape the mayhem in a jet, but discovers too late that the jet he's chosen is Thundercracker.

G.I. Joe forces scramble to take the offensive against Cobra while the window of opportunity created by Wheeljack's hacking still presents itself. The loading is halted by United States Army officials General Renegar and General Horn, who announce that a nuclear strike has been ordered against Cobra Island instead of armed combat. On orders, Hawk uses an electromagnetic pulse to deactivate Wheeljack and Bumblebee. Before passing out, Wheeljack whispers that a nuclear strike on an island full of Transformers technology could destroy the world.

Back on the island, Optimus Prime and Megatron do their thing. Starscream interferes, giving Prime the moment he needs to stand with back-up from the other Autobots. Away from the fight, Cobra Commander cowardly tries to escape the island. Storm Shadow uses a S.N.A.K.E. to protect the Commander from Brawn and Gears. Meanwhile, Baroness saves Destro and Zartan from Rumble. Inside of Cobra's base, Soundwave and the Constructicons put Dr. Mindbender to use on making more energon for the Decepticons to recharge their batteries.

In the Pentagon, General Flagg finds out that despite the news of the incoming assault, G.I. Joe has chosen to ignore their orders and are proceeding to Cobra Island!
