The European Union Alternative Energy Research Center (French: Union Européenne Centre de Recherches d'Énergie Alternative) is a facility in Europe where humans research new sources of energy. It is presumably run by the European Union.

As part of a plot to take Decepticon leadership away from Megatron, Ramjet dropped flyers advertising a "competition" for €50,000. In actuality, the euro sign on the paper were autonomous bugs that attached themselves to the Center's computers. With the Center's research, Ramjet hoped to find a substance that could be harnessed into an energon substitute.

When Megatron got wind of Ramjet's plan, the Decepticon leader ripped his traitorous subordinate apart, leaving a leg at the Research Center, to the confusion of the workers. Spotlight: Ramjet
