Spin is a Mini-Con from the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.
You spin me right 'round, baby
Right 'round like a record, baby
Right 'round, 'round, 'round

Spin is a member of the Burning Rubber Mini-Con Team. He can combine with his teammates to form the Cosmotector shield.

Fiction

Armada cartoon

Spin was among the Mini-Cons hidden away in storage on the Moon, apparently trapped there for a million years unlike his fellow Mini-Cons who had been scattered over the Earth. He was later discovered by Thrust who had been looking for a Mini-Con for himself. Tactician

Ask Vector Prime

Vector Prime, surprised that his human audience in Quadwal had heard of the X-Dimension Mini-Cons, named Spin as a member of the Burning Rubber Mini-Con Team in his listing of the ten X-Dimension teams. Ask Vector Prime

Toys

Legends of the Microns

Spin is the bot in the middle, but the car on the right.
  • Race Micron Exdimensions (2003)
    • ID number: MM-10
Spin was repurposed from the Exdimensions version of Spin.
A somewhat more limited-edition (but still regular retail) redeco of the Race Team was released by Takara as part of the Exdimensions Microns. This set uses primarily blue and white.

Notes

  • Spin's existence in the Armada cartoon started as a generic Mini-Con prisoner inside the Decepticon base. The Legends of the Microns version of the show would later brighten the Mini-Con's colors and add the number 3's on either arm, making it a direct reference to the Exdimensions toy.
  • In 2015, the Facebook edition of Ask Vector Prime established repurposings of the Exdimensions Microns as new characters, canonizing Spin's appearance in the cartoon and making him more than just a Downshift model reuse in Exdimensions colors.
