During the era of the Machine Wars, Soundwave's weapon of choice is the electron rocket, earning him the nickname "The Terror Tank".

Toys

Machine Wars

  • Soundwave (Mega, 1997)
    • Accessories: electron rocket, radar dish
A redeco of the Predator Stalker, Machine Wars Soundwave retained both Stalker's giant missile—identified in his packaging bio as an electron rocket—and its Megavisor gimmick; a panel on the top slides open to reveal a port for the smaller Predator jets to attach to, allowing their Megavisor slides to be viewed through the "scope" of the rocket. Stalker's own unique built-in slide, however, was removed for the Soundwave version of the figure.
This toy was repurposed as a clone of Soundwave and the mold was also used to make Universe Soundwave.
