Professor Wellread is a member of the Backpack Bunch from BotBots.
"I love books, and this basement is a true treasure trove."

Thanks to the power of energon radiation, a normal book full of knowledge was brought to life and became the super-intelligent robot bookworm Professor Wellread. He is the most well-read of the BotBots (imagine that), though part of that is because many other BotBots can't read... and the only book he has read is himself. The Prof banded together with other new BotBot brainiacs from the store where he was created to form the brainy and cool Backpack Bunch.
