Asterisk Story is a series of online comics that were the official fiction released to accompany the Binaltech Asterisk toyline. The comics were released on Takara's website in 2006, consisting of only three chapters. Each comic was animated in Flash, though the animated segments were limited to just vibrating panels and close-ups for dramatic effect. Comic length ran from 5 to 6 illustrated pages, with the dialogue and narrative text placed in a paragraph at the bottom rather than overlayed atop the artwork.

The comics were illustrated by Naoto Tsushima and written by Masato Takahashi.

Storyline

In an attempt to promote peaceful co-existence between robots and humans, the Interplanetary Personnel Exchange Program, led by Officer Clampdown, was formed. Several humans from all walks of life have been partnered with Autobots to display goodwill and cooperation between the races.

  • The Kiss Players timeline later retconned the origin of the Interplanetary Personnel Exchange Program, and thus the whole backstory of Binaltech Asterisk, by claiming it was formed to promote cooperation between the humans and the Transformers, and later expanded its ranks to incorporate Binaltech Autobots in an attempt to further promote co-existence between the two races.

Notes

  • Asterisk Story is misromanized as "Asterisc Story" on the website.
