Her art style is inspired by Studio OX and and other such classic 80s mecha anime and much of her art is painted on cels as an homage. She provided concept art and was the UI designer for Transformers: Devastation. Outside of Transformers, Onishi was also the lead UI artist for the Nintendo Switch game Astral Chain and the Wii U game Star Fox Zero.
