Ban Magami (まがみばん Magami Ban) is a Japanese manga artist, born in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, in 1957. Early in his career, He was one of the assistants of legendary manga creator Leiji Matsumoto, author of such works as Space Battleship Yamato and Space Pirate Captain Harlock.

Magami was a prolific creator on the original Japanese Generation 1 franchise and a frequent collaborator of series head writer Masumi Kaneda. He contributed character design work for all four Japanese-exclusive season of the Generation 1 cartoon, including characters such as Minerva, God Ginrai, Star Saber, Victory Leo, and many more.

Outside of cartoons, Magami illustrated the entirety of the franchise defining run of manga and story pages in TV Magazine alongside Kaneda from Season 1 all the way through Operation Combination.

He also works on children's books such as "The Secret of Tutankhamen" from Kodansha.
