Atlus Co., Ltd. (株式会社アトラス Kabushiki-gaisha Atlus) is a Japanese video game developer and publisher, best known for developing the Megami Tensei, Persona, Etrian Odyssey and Trauma Center series. Their western branch, Atlus USA, deals strictly in publishing, and is known for localizing titles like Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, among others. Atlus was acquired by Takara in 2003, but fell into the hands of Index Holdings later in 2006, which itself fell into the hands of Sega in 2013.
