Description

Enter this tag in the body of an article as a request for other editors to find citations when:

  • A passage is incomplete without a cited source of information.
  • A passage includes information form a particularly obscure source alongside or intermixed with a less obscure one.

Adding this template will also place the parent article in Category:Articles needing citations.

Do not use this tag in order to label text which appears doubtful or false.

Optional

This templates takes one optional anonymous parameter that can be used to set the text of the link if you want to be more specific. The default text is "citation needed".
