- Although The Transformers Snaptrap's instructions label his weapons genericaly as laser and sword, his packaging bio reveals that they represent a semi-automatic atom-smasher rifle and incendiary sword. In turtle mode the rifle can be mounted on the rear half of the shell, or he can hold it in robot mode.
- This toy was available as part of a Piranacon giftset and has been redecoed and reissued. The mold was also used to make Halfshell, though he lacked the sord accessory.
