Red Energon is an extremely volatile and rare type of energon. When it is refined into fuel, it increases the user's speed and strength.

By that time, it had been removed from the construction site and was being moved by crane at a dock, and Optimus Prime had Agent Fowler clear the area. Devastation video game
Red Energon could be found stacked in the city in large blocks, and is highly explosive when shot or thrown. The Autobots used it to breach Decepticon defenses at Liberty Bridge. Red Energon is shown to regenerate after exploding. Transformers: Devastation
