Pova is a place where baaaad stuff goes down.
Fiction
[edit]2005 IDW continuity
[edit]Pova is a planet located in the Redan Quadrant somewhere in the galaxy, whose inhabitants have had dealings with the Cybertronians during their civil war. At some time in the past, a non-interference pact was signed between the Povians and both Transformer factions, ensuring that the Autobots and Decepticons would keep their war off Pova.

Twenty years ago, however, Impactor and the Wreckers violated that agreement when they pursued the malicious Squadron X to Pova. Squadron X were caught off-guard, as all they'd been doing was refuelling on the planet. Zero Point After a brutal battle, Squadron X was captured and immobilized by the Wreckers. When Impactor called for a pick-up, though, Prowl instructed him to turn the Decepticons loose rather than risk the political fallout with the Povians. Incensed at having pursued the butchers across nine sectors for nothing, Impactor shut himself inside the bunker with Squadron X and killed all of them in cold blood. Springer reported his actions to Autobot High Command, and Impactor was sentenced to Garrus-9 after being found guilty by Aequitas. Last Stand of the Wreckers #5
The official version, which "somehow" got leaked out to Fisitron for his Wreckers: Declassified datatracks, read a bit differently. In the edited sequence of events, the Wreckers killed Squadron X in battle after the Decepticons somehow slipped their bonds and began fighting anew. No mention of Pova's neutrality or the Decepticons' reason for being there was made. Last Stand of the Wreckers #4
Animated continuity
[edit]Pova was an unclaimed or neutral organic planet near Autobot Commonwealth space in the Milky Way. The AllSpark Almanac II
Notes
[edit]- Pova gets its name from the term "POV", short for "point of view", since there were two stories told about what went down there.[1]
Foreign names
[edit]- Japanese: Pova (ポヴァ)
