- Blowout is an Autobot from the Generation 2 portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Always energetic, Blowout tirelessly travels all across the planet Earth in pursuit of his two favorite hobbies: racing through city streets in his car mode, and blasting Decepticons. Want to race? Blowout sure does! But be warned, he carries a Quasar rifle. This weapon draws power from distant stars and can convert it not only into laser fire good for piercing the armor of his enemies, but also into bursts of energy that are just perfect for shooting out someone's tires.

Blowout and the Go-Bots were part of the "second generation" of Transformers created on Earth in the 21st century, using a combination of human, Nebulan, and Cybertronian sciences. He became an Autobot working for Pyro when the new Transformers inevitably started to battle amongst themselves. In 2010, Blowout and the Go-Bots arrived in Switzerland to assist Rapido's team against the Decepticons after Pyro was captured. They fought alongside Scorch against the massive Decepticon, Double Punch. Generation 2: Redux

- Blowout (Go-Bot, 1995)
- Accessories: Gun
- Part of the Go-Bots line, Blowout transforms into a 1:64-scale Porsche 959 sports car with through-axle construction. This not only makes him roll exceptionally fast in car mode, but also makes him largely compatible with playsets from the "Hot Wheels" and "Matchbox" toy-car lines.

Clearly not Megatron either… in Europe.
(European running change variant pictured)- A slight redeco of this figure, with solid instead of clear plastic parts, was marketed as a separate character, namely Megatron, in the United States, but was still sold as Blowout himself in Europe (at least in the French/Dutch/German packaging variant). Subsequently, the figure was also redecoed into Frenzy for a later wave of the same assortment, and later still into the 2001 Robots in Disguise Spychanger Hot Shot.
