Entertainment Rights PLC was a mass media and entertainment conglomerate based in the United Kingdom that handled television distribution rights to several Transformers animated productions outside the United States and Asia - the Unicron Anime Trilogy (Armada[1], Energon and Cybertron) and Transformers Animated.[2]
Entertainment Rights held non-Asian home video rights to Armada but none of the other series they distributed for TV, as those were handled by Hasbro and Paramount Pictures. Their home video division Right Entertainment released several VHS and DVD volumes of Transformers: Armada in the United Kingdom.
A failed expansion to the North American market with the purchase of Classic Media in January 2007 led to Entertainment Rights entering administration on April 1, 2009, and was sold to Boomerang Media (a company formed by Classic Media's founders in 2008) on the same day, and a month later, Boomerang folded ER into Classic Media. The television distribution rights to the Transformers series have reverted back to Hasbro within an unknown timeframe.
