- Demolition Drones are Vehicons from the Beast Machines portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Demolition Drones are specialized Tank Drones designed for only one purpose: Destruction! Heavily armored and even heavier armed, these masters of disaster use brute force to wreak havoc on everything in their way, leaving only wreckage and ruin in their wake. While they fall under under Tankor's command, among their number is the individual Scavenger, who personifies all of the worst qualities that a Demolition Drone can offer.

Megatron sent a small infantry force of Demolition Drones and "chase-model drones" to fight alongside the generals Spy Streak, Blastcharge, and Quake and their respective drones to guard an old Autobot shuttle from the Wreckers, who wished to use it to get off-world. It was quite the welcoming party.
Several Demolition Drones were destroyed by the Wreckers in the ensuing close-quarters melee. Those that weren't wrecked by the Wreckers ended up caught in the blast that consumed the facility as the shuttle launched. Departure
The Razor's Edge
In the days leading up to the Pax Cybertronia, Flamewar (disguised as the original Megatron) manufactured a large number of Demolition Drones on the conquered planet of Nibari. She attempted to use them against three Maximals and a local insurgents' army. However, the insurgents had rewired the drones to obey their commands, and they quickly overpowered and defeated Flamewar.
After the Maximals' departure, the native Nibarians planned to convert the drones to tools of construction and repair. The Razor's Edge
Toys
Beast Machines
- Scavenger (Basic, 2000)
- Part of the first wave of Beast Machines Basics, Scavenger transforms into a Cybertronic treaded "Destruction Vehicle". A plunger mechanism on the back of the "shovel" opens and closes the vehicle's crusher jaw. Its spark crystal is located in the "control tower" behind a flip-down panel.
- This mold was also used to make Robots in Disguise Scavenger.
Notes
- The name "Demolition Drone" comes from Beast Machines Scavenger's toy bio. It was never actually used in either of the drones' two fictional appearances given above.
- The idea that the Demolition Drones are commanded by Tankor instead of Scavenger also comes from the latter's toy bio, in which Scavenger is stated to "[fall] under Tankor's charge of specialized tank drones".
