- Windsail is an Autobot from the Wings Universe portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Windsail is a member of the Artillery Team in the Elite Guard. As part of the flying upgrade program, Windsail has quickly taken to the skies. He has an ongoing friendly competition with his wingman, Clear Out, and always manages to come out on top. To make sure everyone knows of his successes, Windsail paints each kill over his nosecone in jet mode.[1]

After the disappearance of the Combaticons, the Artillery Team and the Recon Team were assigned to a search and rescue mission to locate any signs of the missing Elite Guardsmen. A Team Effort They needn't have worried. Windsail and the other Elite Guard teams were present at headquarters when the Combaticons attacked on behalf of their new master, the Decepticon Warlord named Deathsaurus. The Coming Storm: Part 5 In the battle that followed against the Combaticons' combined form, Bruticus, Windsail was killed, as were many of the Elite Guard. The Coming Storm: Part 6
