However, when pilot Darak and his rival Solila both crash on a desolate planet, these two enemies must find a way to escape together. But are they alone on this strange planet? The series is written by Skybound founder Robert Kirkman, with art by Lorenzo De Felici, colors by Matheus Lopes, and lettering by Rus Wooton.

Notes

  • Void Rivals' status as the launch for the Energon Universe was kept secret for almost the entirety of the comic's promotion, with Kirkman only revealing its existence to retailers just before the first issue's FOC date. It would ultimately be leaked by Bleeding Cool.
  • While it was initially speculated that Void Rivals' status as an original creation meant it would be owned by Skybound, the legal indicia for the series reads "VOID RIVALS and all related characters are trademarks of Hasbro and are used with permission." One has to wonder if that's how Kirkman got Hasbro to even sign off on the idea in the first place.
