He comes as an unassembled, unpainted "kit", using [[sticker]]s for detail, and transforms from a robotic rhinoceros beetle into Shockwave's cannon (which is modeled after the [[Sling Shock#Prime|Sling Shock]]) and the vehicle fuselage. Bido actually ''replaces'' the mold's built-in arm-weapon, thus ''both'' of Shockwave's modes are incomplete without weapon-mode Bido attached, as the original cannon also forms a significant chunk of the jet-form fuselage. It's still technically functional, it's just got a big dang hole in it.

Part of the ninth wave of TakaraTomy Prime toys, Bido transforms from a robotic rhinoceros beetle into the tri-barreled "Sling Shock" weapon from the Fall of Cybertron game. As part of the Arms Micron gimmick, Bido features numerous 5mm peg-holes and a pair of pegs, allowing him to combine with other Microns to form bigger and more ridiculous "Combo Weapons" and "Super Combo Weapons".
As an "Ice" crystal type, his main combination is with Bogu and Giza as the Shooting Star Scissors Super Combo Weapon.
He was only available packed in with the Deluxe Shockwave toy, coming out of the package as a bunch of unpainted parts on runners, like a model kit. His extra deco is provided by customer-applied foil stickers on a sheet he shares with Shockwave. Bido actually replaces the mold's built-in arm-weapon, thus both of Shockwave's modes are incomplete without weapon-mode Bido attached, as the original cannon also forms a significant chunk of the jet-form fuselage. It's still technically functional, it's just got a big dang hole in it.

Notes

  • Bido's name is a shortening of the Japanese rendition of "beetle" (ビートル bītoru), with the second syllable changed to a voiced one.
  • Bido is one of only two Arms Micron molds that has never been redecoed in any way, shape or form, the other being Ulma.
