The name or term "Patrick" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Patrick (disambiguation).

Patrick Raynal (b. June 20, 1951) is a French actor, very active on stage, in films and TV series, but also in dubbing.

As a voice actor, he is the regular French voice of Jeff Fahey and Robert Forster, and one of the voices of Ray Winstone, Peter Mullan and Ray Stevenson.

In animation, he dubbed Tapper in the Wreck-It Ralph films, Chicharrón in Coco, Bob Belcher in Bob's Burger and more recently, Hoskel in Arcane.

He is also the regular voice of Admiral Ackbar in the Star Wars universe since 2015 in films, animation and videogames.

Voice roles

Transformers: The Last Knight

Notes

  • In the European French dub of The Last Knight, around half of Hound's lines are provided by Patrick Raynal instead of his voice actor from the previous film Benoît Allemane, for unknown reasons. The voices are pretty similar, and the two actors relay each other all film long at random moments, sometimes even in two successive phrases.
  • He was born exactly one year before John Goodman, the original voice of Hound in the live-action films.
