Delta Pavonis IV should not be mistaken for the planet Beast, whose local sapient life forms include rather different anthropomorphic cats and dogs.

• In an appendix to the 1965 novel [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Dune (novel)|{{#if:Dune|Dune|Dune (novel)}}]], a "III Delta Pavonis" is mentioned, which surely must have inspired the name of this planet. Whether or not it has anything to do with anthropomorphic cats and dogs remains a mystery for the ages.
