- Boss Borot is a super robot from [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Mazinger Z|{{#if:||Mazinger Z}}]].

Boss Borot (ボスボロット Bosu Borotto) is a wide and silly robot piloted by Boss, an equally wide and silly man. He was built by three scientists that were kidnapped by Boss.
Being made out of scrap metal, it is incapable of fighting with anywhere near the same level of competence and elegance as Mazinger Z. It was, however, strong enough to impress Grimlock.
Fiction
[edit]Mazinger Z versus Transformers
[edit]Boss, piloting Boss Borot, was sent by Professor Yumi, along with Shirō, Mucha, and Nuke to investigate the enemy's new weapon, a beam cannon made from diamonds. Eager to get his greedy hands on some diamonds, Boss Borot's pilot enthusiastically digs through the rubble, only to find Grimlock! Boss mistakes the Dinobot for a mechanical beast and fights him. Trading punches with Grimlock, Boss Borot is knocked back by the blow, but it's strenght impresses his opponent, Grimlock is even more impressed by the fact that Boss Borot was piloted by humans. With the misunderstandings settled, Grimlock befriends the humans. After stating he was hungy, Boss offered Grimlock a supply of photon power, Boss Borot then guided Grimlock to their lab.

Notes
[edit]- Though not the first example of this archetype in Japanese media, Boss Borot is a pioneer in comic relief robots, such as the short lived Asataro from [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Getter Robo|{{#if:||Getter Robo}}]]. Bulkhead was dumbed down in the Japanese dub of Animated to invoke this image.
