The Attack Copter is an Autobot Action Master vehicle from the toyline portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Attack Copter is Over-Run's Action Master vehicle. This advanced model copter has a range of 1,200 miles and can operate continuously for up to 3.5 hours. In addition to its rotary photon cannon, it carries air-to-ground magnetic missiles and can transform into a double-barreled concussion cannon emplacement.

The Attack Copter had a top speed of 340mph for a range of 1,200 miles and its air-to-ground magnetic missiles were capable of automatically targeting Decepticon armor plating. Over-Run could also carry its photon cannon and concussion cannons separately. Over-Run's More than Meets the Eye profile

  • Attack Copter with Over-Run (Action Blaster Vehicle, 1990)
The Attack Copter is a helicopter that can be "piloted" by a single Action Master figure. In its normal copter configuration, the two missiles attach to fins on the sides of the vehicle, and the "laser cannon" plugs under the copter nose. The two side cannons form... engines, or something, as they're not really in a useful firing position in this mode.
The copter transforms via partial disassembly into a piece of field artillery. The back end flips over (once you remove the tail piece to get out of its way) to form a blast shield, plus brings the side cannons into a forward firing position. The two missiles can be plugged into the ends of the side cannons; while they can still do this in the normal copter mode, it's kind of awkward. The copter's engine cover can also detach to form a largish shield held by any Action Master figure.
This set came with the Action Master figure of Over-Run.

Notes

  • Over-Run's instructions refer to the Attack Copter as simply "helicopter".
  • Although generically called a "laser cannon" in the instructions, the copter's main weapon is somewhat bizarrely described in the bio accompanying Over-Run's Tech Specs as a "rotary photon pulse button". This was updated in Over-Run's Dreamwave More than Meets the Eye profile to the more sensible "rotary photon cannon".
