Synopsis

Oribital scanners detect a spacecraft approaching the planet. Though Apelinq's attempts to contact it have met with failure, its presence fills him with renewed feelings of hope... and confusion, since the ship is indicated to be, of all things, an ancient Autobot shuttle.

[edit]- The Autobot shuttle is none other than Autobot Shuttle Omega Delta, the ship commandeered by the Maximals of the Beast Wars cartoon in the show's final episode, meaning Apelinq's War Journals has finally caught up to the start of the Beast Machines cartoon as of this installment. The shuttle was shown returning to Cybertron (and immediately shot at by the planet's defenses) in a flashback during the episode "Revelations Part II: Descent".
- With this entry marking the arrival of Optimus Primal's team, their return to Cybertron follows a rather brief period after Megatron's earlier takeover. Back in Journal 7, Megatron had already won by Date Index 316.258 AU, while this entry is dated 316.265 AU, a mere seven solar cycles later.
