I don't really wade into these discussions anymore but my feelings are that as long as Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg remain executive producers, there's really no point to it. [[User:Escargon|Escargon]] ([[User talk:Escargon|talk]]) 17:36, 20 April 2024 (EDT)

Just putting it out there - the caption theme for this page HAS to be quotes from the 2007 movie, right? Bring us full circle? --Riptide (talk) 21:09, 27 April 2023 (EDT)

For once, I think TFTM would be an appropriate theme. --Thylacine 2000 (talk) 22:17, 27 April 2023 (EDT)
We already do that on the '07 page. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 23:30, 27 April 2023 (EDT)
Some sort of prequel film - Revenge of the Sith, maybe, if a third Star Wars movie isn't pushing it. But we've only just gotten a cast and a reminder that this is still happening, it's too early to make a real call. BattleBlade (talk) 03:24, 28 April 2023 (EDT)
I have an idea, captions from The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Considering that this movie is getting the same treatment for the cast as that movie did. Energizier 02:25, 3 July 2023 (EDT)

Split characters?

Just based on the trailer that just dropped, this film's aesthetic and characterisations are radically different from the two live action movie continuities, so should the characters be considered separate and given new pages (example; Optimus Prime (One), Sentinel Prime (One), etc) rather than share them with the already established film character pages? --Prime Temple (talk) 22:23, 20 April 2023 (EDT)

No. The difference in characterisations is probably intentional as part of it being a prequel, with them changing dramatically over time. That and the art style do not overwrite the fact that the film is being treated by official sources as a prequel to the already existing films. We can note where details may not line up but unless the creators say otherwise they're considered the same characters here. Indridcold13 (talk) 07:36, 20 April 2024 (EDT)
Also, there is no such thing as "two live action movie continuities". We already covered a lot this whole topic since 2018. See here. Grievous Prime (talk) 09:06, 20 April 2024 (EDT)
No. For the billionth time, that's not how this wiki works. Characters are split up by major real world franchise, not "piece of media's internal continuity (or lack thereof)". Otherwise we'd be splitting out every single character's comic-vs-cartoon selves, among other useless divisions that'd only make this wiki more bloated and hard to find information on. And as noted above, this movie is being treated by the makers of ALL these movies as a prequel to said movies. In the RARE instances of "internal" splits (like Wheeljack), those came WELL after the actual piece of media was released, and after a LOT of talk from the makers of said films as to whether or not those are the same characters or not. Not based on "vibes" from a single trailer months before we knew anything of actual substance. --M Sipher (talk) 17:10, 20 April 2024 (EDT)
