While Jeff was showing some Autobots the remains of some gnawed trees, Mike spotted the Insecticons chewing on redwoods through his binoculars, but was unable to believe his eyes. He radioed Jeff to meet him at the redwoods and set out in a jeep.

Nearing the location, he was unable to see anything until Bombshell almost dropped a tree on him. Mike fled in panic, almost running into Bumblebee, who was coming the other way. The group of Autobots and humans sought cover as the Insecticons started firing on them, but found themselves trapped at the edge of a cliff, with a felled tree rolling at them. It was only through one of Hound's holograms that they managed to escape certain doom. The Autobots left for the Nova Power Plant, leaving Jeff and Mike to make their own way back.
