Shrapnel grenade

A shrapnel grenade or splinter grenade is a Decepticon weapon deployed by Shrapnel. The Maximal Depth Charge carries disc-shaped shrapnel grenades, also known as "power pizzas".

When Spike Witwicky, Brawn, Bumblebee, Skyfire, and Windcharger attempted to hide from the Insecticons in a field of wheat, Shrapnel used a shrapnel grenade to cut down the crops and reveal them. Later, he would use another shrapnel grenade to knock Optimus Prime, Brawn and Wheeljack into the sea. During an attack on Washington, D.C. in order to disrupt peace talks between the Autobots and the President of the United States, Shrapnel (under the control of Ravage) took Prowl out of action with a splinter grenade. Plague of the Insecticons!
